Hrvoje Slovenc (b. 1976) graduated in Biochemistry from the University of Zagreb after which he went to the United States where he earned an M.A. degree in Photography from the Yale University School of Art, in the class of Gregory Crewdson, Philip-Lorca diCorcia and Tod Papageorge. His works were featured at numerous exhibitions, including the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, Museum of New Art in Detroit and The Bronx Museum of Arts. He is a recipient of numerous awards: London Photography Award, International Photography Award, Golden Light Award, Photography Now Award, BRIO Award, as well as the Mortimer Hays-Brandeis and Alice Kimball English Travelling Fellowships.
Hrvoje Slovenac participated in the Bronx Museum’s AIM Residency Programme.
His photographs are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
