The third issue of FOTOTXT is entirely dedicated to the avant-garde exhibition Phony Smile. Language of Photographic Interpretation and Aesthetic Speculation, prepared by the Office for Photography and presented at the Arton Foundation in April 2020. With this exhibition, the Office for Photography contributed to the cultural program marking Croatia’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
This issue features Jelena Pašić’s essay “Radically New: Conceptual Range of Croatian Photography”, Leonida Kovač’s text “On Disappearances”, and an interview with Marijan Špoljar conducted by Sandra Križić Roban. The bilingual edition is accompanied by rich visual materials.
